AUSTIN, Texas and SAN JOSE, Calif., March 12, /PRNewswire/ -- Silicon Labs (NASDAQ: SLAB) announced that it has entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement with Redpine Signals to acquire the company's Wi-Fi and Bluetooth business, development center in Hyderabad, India, and extensive patent portfolio for $308 million in cash.

Silicon Labs' RS9116 Wi-Fi modules with single and dual-band provide a comprehensive multi-protocol wireless connectivity solution including 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), dual-mode Bluetooth 5. The Wi-Fi modules offer high throughput, extended range with power-optimized performance. The Wi-Fi modules are FCC, IC, and ETSI/CE certified.

The focus of this role is to be part of a team of pre-silicon verification engineers to verify new and existing features for Intel's next generation CPU IP resulting in bug free final design.
