The Trelleborg V-ring® is an all-rubber seal for rotary shafts, rotating with the shaft and sealing axially against the stationary counterface.

A bespoke and standard seal range is available to suit the application requirements of hydraulic cylinders for turbine blade pitch and yaw control, along with sealing systems for gearbox’s and braking systems. Large diameter rotary shaft seals can also be designed and manufactured to suit all types of environmental conditions.

V-Ring seals are easy to install. They require almost no disassembly, as their degree of elasticity allows users to stretch them over unit components. These 

V-rings seal axially against a counter-face. This type of seal has proved to be reliable and effective against dust, dirt, water and oil splash and other media. The four-lobed design provides twice the sealing surface in comparison to a standard O-Ring. The double-seal action requires less compression to maintain an effective seal.

The V-ring seals - type S are available in sizes ranging from 5 to 199 mm. V-ring type S with bevel back serves as a pressureless, axial rod seal that is clamped on a shaft.
